Every character gets a voice.

Loudlore turns your web serial or novel into a full-cast audio drama. Each character is voiced by AI, with emotion, and your text is read word for word.

From The Gate of Ash, a short scene written for this page

NarratorThe gate of Ash Keep hung open, and behind it the warlord waited.

Grakk“Kneel, or burn,” said Grakk.

Mira“I’ll take burn,” she said.

Grakk“You have eleven hit points, little thief.”

Gray dialogue tags stay on the page and are skipped in the audio. You hear who is talking.

What you see in Loudlore

The same scene, a few lines longer, in the app’s reading view. You read along while it plays, and every line belongs to someone.

Screenshot of the Loudlore reading view. Narration in black, Grakk’s lines in teal, Mira’s in purple, and the tags ‘said Grakk’ and ‘she said’ in gray.
  • Color shows who speaks. Grakk is teal, Mira is purple. Each color is one voice.
  • Narration gets its own voice. Everything outside the quotes, including LitRPG boxes like “[Skill unlocked]”.
  • Gray is skipped. “Said Grakk” stays in your text but isn’t read aloud. You can switch this off per book.

Fix one line

Click a line, change the speaker or the emotion, add a note for the delivery. Only that line is recorded again.

The line “Kneel, or burn,” selected in the reading view. Speaker field set to Grakk. Emotion set to ominous, delivery note: low, menacing growl.

Who’s who

Your characters go by many names. Drag “the warlord” onto Grakk and “little thief” onto Mira, and every line gets the right voice.

The Who’s who graph: the names ‘the warlord’ and ‘little thief’ marked for review next to Grakk and Mira.

How the pilot works

  1. You leave your email

Add a link to your story if you like. I write back personally.

  2. We agree on terms first

Before anything is recorded, we talk about your story and agree on what happens with the audio. Nothing is published without your yes.

  3. I produce your first chapter with you

We check who is who, pick voices together, and you listen. Anything that sounds wrong, you mark and I fix, line by line.

  4. You decide what’s next

Keep going, change course, or stop. It’s your story.

AI does the voices. Never the writing.

The voices are made with AI, and we say so up front, to you and to your listeners. Your text is read exactly as you wrote it. Nothing is rewritten, summarized or added.

  • You can check and correct every line: speaker, emotion, delivery.
  • A fix records only that line again, never the whole chapter.
  • Dialogue tags stay on the page. Skipping them in the audio is your choice.

Questions authors ask

How do I turn my web serial into a full-cast audiobook?

Join the pilot below and add a link to your story. I write back personally, we agree on terms, and then I produce your first chapter with you: every character gets their own AI voice, the narration gets its own voice, and you listen and mark anything that sounds wrong.

What does Loudlore do, exactly?

It splits your chapter into lines, works out who speaks each line and how (angry, scared, whispering), casts a fitting voice for every character, and records the chapter as an audio drama. Tags like “said Grakk” can stay on the page and be skipped in the audio, because you already hear who is talking.

Does the AI change my text?

No. Your text is read exactly as you wrote it. Nothing is rewritten, summarized or added. AI is used for the voices only.

How is this different from a regular AI audiobook?

Most AI audiobooks use one narrator for everything. Loudlore gives every character a separate voice and lets you check each line: speaker, emotion and delivery. If something sounds wrong, only that line is recorded again.

Can I fix a line weeks later?

Yes. You can change the speaker, emotion or delivery of a single line, or swap the voice of one character, and only the affected lines are recorded again. The rest of the chapter stays as it is.

Which stories work best?

English fiction with lots of dialogue and a clear cast: web serials, LitRPG, progression fantasy and fantasy novels, for example from Royal Road.

What does the pilot cost?

We agree on terms before anything is recorded. Nothing is published without your yes.

Ten founding authors.

I’m Ruben, a computer science student at ETH Zurich, building Loudlore at the ETH Student Project House. For the pilot I produce the first chapter for ten authors, by hand and together with them. You tell me what sounds wrong, I fix it.

We agree on terms before anything is recorded. We only use your email to tell you about the pilot. You can leave the list anytime by writing to hello@loudlore.app (privacy).
